Bushcraft and forest skills in Cowal
Any Questions?
Please get in touch if you have any questions that aren't covered here.
What do I need to wear?
You'll need a pair of waterproof shoes or boots, warm clothes and a waterproof jacket - it can get a bit cold even in summer, although we'll have a tarp for shelter if it rains.
How far will we be walking?
We'll walk around 10-15 minutes at the beginning and end of the session, through the woods. We'll always walk at the slowest pace and won't leave anyone behind. If you have mobility issues, get in touch and we can discuss options.
What if I hurt myself?
Vic is 1st aid trained and we will have a first aid kit with us at all times. Activities are fully risk assessed and safety standards applied, although occasional cuts and bruises do happen.
Is there a toilet?
If we are out in the woods, natural facilities are always available. We'll have toilet paper and hand sanitiser with us. Depending on the venue, there may be toilets at the car park.
Will there be food or drink?
There will be marshmallows to toast and a hot drink, but if you need something more substantial you're welcome to bring your own snacks.
What if the weather is bad?
We will have a tarpaulin for shelter, and some wind and rain is to be expected. However, if the forecast is too unpleasant then we can reschedule or refund you.
Is transport provided?
We will meet you at the venue. If you don't have your own transport, there should be a bus or taxi option available.
